Our Impact

Since launching in 2007, Hope for LA has given over half a million dollars to impacting homelessness, loving foster youth, and lifting up families in need.

Feet on the Ground

In 2021, through our partnership with Deed & Truth and an initiative called House 2 Home, we moved 4 formerly homeless individuals into new homes. Check out Danielle’s story or Kyle and Israel’s story!

Grants Given

In 2021, we gave over $60,000 in grants to impacting homeless and loving foster youth in LA County.

HFLA Highlight: CarePortal

In 2021, we partnered with CarePortal to respond to 8 children and 6 families. CarePortal is an online platform that provides opportunities for churches to learn about and respond directly to real-time, physical needs of children who are either in the foster care system, or at-risk of entering the system.

Our Work

These are the areas we focus on

Impacting Homelessness

people do not have a place to call home every night in Los Angeles. 9,000 are experiencing homelessness for the first time

Throughout the Bible, God demonstrates his special love for the poor and marginalized. We believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity no matter who they are, or what they’ve been through. At Hope For LA, we are committed to demonstrating God’s love by serving the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless in our community.

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother,  but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.” – Deuteronomy 15:7.

LOVING FOSTER YOUTH

kids are in the Los Angeles County foster system, the highest concentration in the country.

Kids need strong families, and strong families need strong communities. Our goal is to transform the lives of at-risk children through the healing power of family. We accomplish this by providing resources for foster youth, families in need, and families supporting foster youth.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” – James 1.27

LIFTING UP FAMILIES IN NEED

RV

%

of families in Los Angeles live below the poverty line. We find ways to support and provide for families in need.

There’s a large number of families that aren’t equipped to handle the growing cost of living in Los Angeles, County. And contrary to popular belief, most poor families are working families. Our goal is to support organizations that put families first because strong families are the building blocks of our society

“But if someone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith…” 1 Timothy 5:8
